Complete Chemistry by ToscanyTech is a low quality app that you should only use when you are too lazy to use google.

This is a relatively small app that teaches atomic structure, periodicity chemistry, chemical bonding, state of matter, energy and energy change, ect. After I downloaded the app, before I even opened it on my phone, I already knew it wasn’t going to be that good because they didn’t even have their own icon, it was just the android logo. When I clicked on one of the icons, an advertisment popped up, which wasn’t very surprising.

I feel that this app can be understood pretty quickly because the design is simple.  The information of the app resembles what you would see on Wikipedia, expect with no diagrams, because the whole thing is text.  The app does not look professional because as I have said before, there are no pictures or diagrams, and all of the icons on the main menu are blurry. Another thing that I didn’t like about this app is the amount of advertisements; an app would pop up around every 3rd time you pressed the screen, and there was also an ad on the bottom of the screen that flashed black and white.  Something that I did like is the vast amount of information that the app contained.  Not only did the app have a tutorial for people new to chemistry, it also contained a detailed dictionary for many science terms.

Complete Chemistry is a decent database for anything that has to do with chemistry, as long as you don’t mind the bad design and the lag when you are scrolling through the lines and lines of text.  For the other people that do mind that stuff, like me, I think we should just stick with using google.

  1. Wow Nicky, that app sounds really frustrating. I understand how the app would of looked low quality by not even having a logo. Is that app available for apple products as well as androids? Thank you for making the review very informative, and now I know not to use that app. Next time I would recommend some visual representatives or screenshots of the app, to help me get a better understanding. Overall it was a great review, and helped me to understand what the app was like.
