What are some things that were challenging?

Personally, something that was challenging was having to use the Cricut software. I have never used Cricut before so I was confused when navigating the software in order to create my design. But the tech team video that was made for the Cricut project, helped me to get a basis of how to use the software. So, once I got the hang of it, navigating was much easier. Additionally, I struggled with inserting the HTV at first because the machine wasn’t catching it. So in order to figure this out, I had to be patient as well as problem-solve, and I was able to do it.

What are some things that worked well?

Something that worked well for me was using tools to cut out my design. At first, I was a bit confused with doing it, but after I kept working on the design I was able to separate the HTV from the bottom layer of the design without making any mistakes. Another thing that also worked well was steaming my design onto the fabric. I made sure to pick a felt that was easier for the design to stick to so it turned out as I had hoped.

What did you learn? How can you apply this?

Through this project, I scratched the surface of basic Cricut skills like creating and printing simple designs. I can apply this skill if I were to use Cricut again to create another design. I also learnt how to navigate a new software, which I think can be very helpful for me as I am interested in learning more about different types of softwares.
