Vancouver is known for its breathtaking views and adventures activities all throughout the year.

Top 5 best places to visit in Vancouver:

  • Stanley Park

Every city has a signature park, and in Vancouver it is Stanley Park. This park has scenic views of the water and mountains. It is great for all ages and has something for everyone. There is an aquarium, pool, waterpark, and a variety of dining restaurants to choose from. You can walk or bike along the seawall and experience all what nature has to offer. You can also spend an entire day here and not run out of things to do. This park is located between English Bay beach and Downtown Vancouver. It is easily accessible by car or bus from the nearest SkyTrain station or a 25-minute walk from Waterfront SkyTrain station.

  • Capilano Suspension Bridge

The nearly 140-meter Capilano Suspension Bridge, which hangs 70 meters above the flowing Capilano River, can help you conquer your fear of heights in style. The bridge is the longest walking bridge in Canada. You can see amazing views from this bridge with the water underneath you while you are surrounded by trees. There is also a nice walk after you cross the bridge that leads to several trails. This amazing bridge is known for its scenic views from high above the ground. It is also a great place to visit, not only in the summer but in the winter as well because the bridge and area surrounding are lit up with stunning lights. This bridge is located north of Stanley Park and is a 15-minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

  • Granville Street

Granville street is one of the most known places to go for shopping in Vancouver. The main area is from Waterfront all the way to Robson Street. Along the way you will find high end stores, multi cultural restaurants, nightclubs, shops, and much more. Everything is very close together in this area within a walking distance. There is a SkyTrain station right on Granville Street which is very convenient. I recommend taking the SkyTrain and not a car since it is a busy area which makes it hard to find parking. This place is one of my personal favourites since it is for all ages and there are so many shops and malls to explore near each other. This area is in the heart of Downtown Vancouver and is easily accessible by car or public transit.

  • Grouse Mountain

At Grouse Mountain, the skyride gondola brings you up the mountain where there are many activities. In the winter there is skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sleigh rides and more. In the summer there is hiking, Zip Lining, sightseeing, shows and more. There is a fancy restaurant for dining in, but if you are on the go there is also a café. The souvenir shops there have some lovely things that I recommend checking out before leaving. This place is located 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver and is easily assessable by bus or car.

  • VanDusen Botanical Garden

This is a must-see garden in Vancouver. It is filled with different colours, flowers, trees, and more. This garden is breathtaking and has a huge variety of nature. Not only is this place great to visit in the spring and summer when the flowers have bloomed, but also in the winter. In the winter the garden is completely lit up with lights and as you walk around and see all the different tress and colours. The ponds add a great touch to the walk as you are going through and exploring this garden. This place is located south of downtown Vancouver and a 5-minute walk from Queen Elizabeth Park.
