Lab I chose: Apple Strüdel

The lab that I chose was one of the beginning labs we did, the Apple Strūdel. The reason I chose this lab was because it was one of my favourite labs we made. Although it was challenging, I enjoyed the process of making it, as well as the taste and looks of the final product. I also chose this lab because I have never made anything like this before and it was very unique experience. I really enjoyed this lab because we took a simple fruit, like the apple and made a delicious pastry out of it. I also enjoyed the process of this lab because we were using the biscuit method. I also enjoyed about how fun it was to make this look presentable with making the traditional cross look with the pastry. I feel like my lab turned out good the way I wanted it. For this lab we worked in pairs, it was more challenging because you only had 2 people to do things but their was also more space and more creativity involved. My lab turned out good in terms of looks and taste. Listening in the demo and using teamwork contributed to this success. My partner and I worked well together, I feel like it was easier but harder then working in a group of 4. Me and my partner were able to distribute and share the tasks together and then we came together as a whole group when cleaning up. If I were to do this lab again I would make smaller mini strudels of different flavour with different types of fruits. Nothing really went wrong in this lab except for the crossing of the pastry, this was challenging to make it stick but we got the hang of it near the end. Overall I think this was one of the most fun and tastiest labs I have done so far.
