On October 7, 1763, King George III issued a Royal Proclamation for the administration of British territories in North America. The Proclamation was a document marking the beginning of Canada’s historic link with Great Britain and the British government. It was also important in establishing the core elements of the relationship between First Nation people and the Royals. I chose this because this was the beginning of the country we live in today.

The poppy is a huge symbol in Canada to remember those who fought to make our country what it is today but it also represents peace and kindness in Canada. If this article was posted 40 years ago they probably would have reacted the same way.
