This week in math 10 we were preparing for our test on trigonometry a question I had problems with was question 8 on the practice test.

This was my first time doing a word problem like this the main thing I learned about this is draw a diagram because I drew the diagram wrong at first and I got the answer wrong then I went to do it again I just labeled the sides differently and then I got it right. The challenging part of this problem at first was figuring out what the question was asking and what it wanted at the end. To get to the final answer I had to figure out what angle or side it wanted what angle or side they give you and apply SOH CAH TOA by labeling the sides and using an equation.

Overall I think word problems were more challenging because you have to apply your previous knowledge to a different real life situation.
