This is my One-Pager on the Pathways to Theme assignment. The assignment was to read a story and create thematic statements and questions. The story I chose was The Fate Of Fausto by Oliver Jeffers.
COMMUNICATION
prompt: A story
I use feedback to create sroties by listening to their opinions and advice, and taking it. It helps to get different points of views on my writing, not just my own. I work with others to develope ideas by brainstorming concepts for stories. It very useful, especially when its a big group of people, we all bounce ideas off each other and build on them as well. Its much easier working with others instead of my own.
CREATIVE & CRITICAL
prompt: A time when I was excited to learn
When Im excited to learn, its usually in English becasue I enjoy creating and writing stories, and learning how I can improve my writing. An example of something that didnt work out for mw was when I had a great concept for a strory, I wrote it down, wored on it, and yet it wasnt coming together. Usually when im focused, the words just flow, but it just wasnt working for me. What is challenging is when I have trouble having a clear struture to my stores, like a neggining , middle and end. What inspires me to keep wanting to learn are my favorite authors, like Taylor Jenkins Reid. When I read her books, Im just impressed on how she can make you feel everything her characters are going through. I find reading to be a great inspiration for my learning.
PERSONAL & SOCIAL
Prompt: An example of a group club, or team I feel a part of
An example of a team I feel a part of, would be the schools volleyball team. I used questions to extend my knowledge and improve my skills, by asking anytime I was confused on how to properly do something, like a serve, so I learn the right way. Volleyball demonstraes my progression as a learner by showing my preserverance, because it wasnt easy getting into the team, it took lots of hardwork, during the many tryouts and on my own time so I could succesfully get into the team. Volleyball demostrates growth in my social skills, because you cant be quiet while playing the game, you cant stay silent along with your teamates and expect to win. You need to communicate, to talk, to cheer each other on to not lose.

Thank you Mia – see the comments on the rubric.
