(1) I figured out which equations to use by watching a few YouTube videos, looking through the units in the math workbook, and simply just playing around with my equations and figuring out which ones fit my picture. I mainly would search up different formulas for different shapes that I wanted to use, so for example, if I wanted to create an ellipse, I would either search the formula up or just look through the workbook.
(2) I had a few challenges with shading, I just felt the shading and the glitches could make someone overlook the amount of work I put into my graphs. I worked very hard on the picture and wanted my picture to look identical to the actual picture of the characters but because of the shading I could not and I was very disappointed in myself as well as fearful for my grade. I put my best into this assignment because I wanted to increase my math grade and I hope the shading does not make one underestimate the actual work.
(3) There were a few moments that I was so anxious and angry about such as finding Trig and Log equations that would fit my picture perfectly. Of course, I allowed my struggles with shading to get the best of me, I would have full-blown panic attacks because of how bad I thought it looked. But even though I went through some challenges, I genuinely had fun with this assignment and I enjoyed making the picture out of graphs since I never did anything like this before and I thought it was such a unique assignment.
(4) I did get lots of help from people in Pre-Calc 12, I looked over it with Pahlevanlu and took all the advice they could give me, and I got help online by simply watching YouTube videos and figuring out how I could use their strategies with my Desmos project.
5) I used one main strategy of just plugging in the formula using letters, then using the scales on Desmos to help get an exact equation that would perfectly fit the picture that I chose, and then state the restrictions. That was really the only strategy that I used that really helped me achieve what I wanted to.
(6) This assignment showed me the ability of transformations of functions and relations and how one could create art out of mathematics. Using the scales helped me have more of a clear understanding on what parts of a transformation function does what, such as what part moves the graph up and down. This assignment that involved working with transformations of functions and relations helped me understand the concepts of applying the rules and properties of transformations in a graph.
