The point of view I used is objective.
The police officers knocked on the door. The protagonist opened the door letting the police officers in. He led them through the house confidently letting them examine anything they wanted. Once they got to the old man’s room, the protagonist set up chairs for the police offers to sit on and placed his own chair on the exact spot where he had placed the old man’s dead corpse earlier that day. The police officers are convinced that nothing has occurred and that the protagonist is innocent. The police officers are laughing, making jokes and talking but the protagonist is acting odd. The protagonist looks on edge and starts to look panicky. The police officers don’t pay attention to the protagonist and continue their conversation. The protagonist starts to get pale and looks like he’s panicking more and more when suddenly he explodes shrieking, “Villains! Dissemble no more! I admit the deed! – tear up the planks! here, here! – it is the beating of his hideous heart!”
