I had the chance this week to collaborate with some of my classmates and I enjoyed it very much! I was put into a group with Kennedy, Mitchell and Nighina and all today we had to make a collaborative sway about four different biomes found around the world. First, we each picked a specific biome and then we started the research project with specific roles. Mitchell found the pictures for each biome, Kennedy found graphs for each biome, Nighina made a works cited page, and I found a few videos for each biome. Then, we all wrote our own text for our biome, including facts and information written in point form. After all of this, we all put our finished products together in one amazing collaborative sway.
Overall I think our process of using collaboration to make a sway worked out very well. Everyone was very eager and open to every idea and when we combined all of our ideas and work together I believe that we made the best possible presentation. There wasn’t any conflict whatsoever between us while doing this collaboration sway because we were very open to everyone’s ideas. I believe that this was a huge part of our success. One thing that I think we could have done better was communication. We communicated well overall but there was at times some communication loss because it had been hard at times to figure out where everyone was in their work because we didn’t really talk too much about where were at. This made it a bit harder to put together the final product. However, although there was communication loss I think that we all created a solution for ourselves and everything worked out in the end and to top that off, we were all very happy about how our collaborative sway turned out. I really enjoyed doing a collaborative project like this and I would be very open to doing another one soon in the future!
