- What questions did you need to research in order to create your sway?
I had to research a lot of questions to create my Sway. Some of the questions I had to research were things like “Is lead poisonous?”, “Is lead reactive?”, or “What is the history of lead?”. If I didn’t get a direct answer to one of my questions (which was sometimes the case) then I pulled from multiple sources.
2. What new or familiar digital tools did you try to use as you worked through this project?
A new digital tool I used while working on this project was Sway. I have never used Sway before, and the first few days of using it I was confused. After a while of using the app though, I figured out how the formatting worked and all the controls, it just took me a bit.
3. What was the process you used to investigate the topic?
I would normally search up the question to the information I wanted, then if there wasn’t that much information I would search more general ideas. For example, if I didn’t get that many answers to the question of “What does lead do to your cells?” then I might change my question to “What does lead do to affect the body?” as a more general search. I’d also check to make sure the website was safe.
4. How did you verify and cite the information you found
I deemed the websites I used safe by not only checking the dates on the websites to see if they were old, but looking at the overall appearance of them, and using information from multiple sources. I cite the websites I used by copying their link and pasting them in my Sway for easy and accessible use. For photos, I used only creative common licenced images and included links to each picture in my Sway.
5. How did the process of completing this challenge go? What could you have done better?
I think the process of creating this challenge went well. The only thing I struggled with temporarily was figuring out how to use Sway. If I were to do better think I could have maybe included a video in my Sway of ways lead is used or how lead affects the human body.
This is cool!! I didn’t know that lead was in fireworks wow
Thanks! Yeah I didn’t know lead was in so many things either before starting this project 🙂
Excellent information fluency post. I really like how you have found some great sub-questions to lead you to get a well-rounded perspective on your topic. You have done a great job sharing the digital tools you used and citing your sources. Great work engaging your readers. Good debrief on your product and process as well!
Thank you Mr. Robinson!:D
Excellent post, a thorough look into the properties, history, and uses of Lead.
Thank you Ms. Lundgren!:)
