A) What is New media? New media is an on demand platform where a citizen can watch YouTube videos and comment unlike the news YouTube is an online platform where a citizen is able to share thoughts threw out the world. Media can be seen as photos videos and text. New media is know as (web 2.o) which means it is a way for a person that can watch a live stream, YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram, etc. still be able to communicate with people all around the world. there is a big difference from older media than modern media modern media can be communicated unlike a radio a person can listen but cant talk with people.
B)How is media consumption fragmented.
Media consumption is fragmented by how much time you spend online for example an individual balancing out his time online. can be media consumption because the person is taking in technology each hour that you are absorbing and some of the news u can take in is fake and not official sites and said by people and based of an opinion and not the truth. example since their is a pandemic and since to Covid- 19 people are probably consuming to much internet in one day and balancing out like video games news social media and text being received and watching videos. that i think is is damaging our eyes and brainwashing us with too much news too be know.
C)What are some methods you can use to consume credible media?
The methods a ind visual should use is to always check for and https or HTTP or any type of code used for the news usually u can tell if a site is protected and being taking care and protected information. With https another method to notice when looking for real and authentic news is to check for spelling mistakes and dates it was published. this usually indicates the person giving the information isn’t checking his work before releasing and is not professional at what he does. another option to look for is try looking for the person who made the article or information and search the creators name and see what comes up that is a clue too see if he has written other articles or anything about other people. ‘The dark internet symbolizes how strong an opinion is while the truth holds the right answer.’
