“To teach kids how to read and write.”

“Bachelors of education (university level), and diploma in ESL.”

“Two years of volunteering experience.”

Patiences, organization, communication, literature, and interpersonal skills.

5. What are some of the things you like about your job?

“Working with kids, keeps you young, grounded, and make you appreciate the small things in life.”

“LOTS of paper work and documentation.”

 

7. How do you anticipate this job changing in the next 5 years?

“The demand for your time will grow. You’re abilities will stretch, and your time will be constrained.”

a) The amount of paper work and documentation

b) I seem to be not as patient as most of the teachers and assistants in this workplace

c) Seeing students have difficult times with school and home

 

3. Is this job for you? Why or why not?

I think it’ll be something I would consider. I love the aspect of seeing the smiles the kids give when they finally get it. The environment is busy, but it’s also welcoming. I will be definitely visiting the same school again.

 

4. Explain the value of TOKTW experience in relation to your ideas about your post secondary (after highschool) plans (education, travel, and work?).

The TOKTW helps me with deciding what I would like to study towards. It shows me the things I have to look for, in order to get this job, and the qualities that I must possess to apply for this job.
