Characterization Paragraph

Alma Niles from The Friday That Everything Changed was very determined and thoughtful, but in this certain quote from the book “They’ll never take away that water bucket,” It showed that Alma was very determined in that situation saying that she is hoping it’ll never be taken away. This was pretty much most of the story and it told her and everyone that she’s going to fight for what she wants, and in that case she wanted the job of carrying the water bucket.

Another quote that was out of the book that showed alma was very thoughtful was when she said “But I’m used to cold weather. In winter I walk to school the same as you.” This is to me kind of thoughtful but more like she’s trying to feel sympathy for Arnold but she doesn’t care and just want to carry the water bucket.

In the end I thought Alma Niles was very thoughtful, courageous, determined, and persuasive, because in the book there were many parts where it’d have good quotes and just the way Alma talked showed difference in her and the other characters… Alma was the main character and I think that was a good roll because of her description, I like how she showed that she was never going to let the boys win and she went through with what she wanted to do not letting anyone stop her. Its kind of like a dream that cannot be stopped. And to me that was a good attitude for her.
