Define:

Today people are spending huge amounts of money on cellphone, because of the new “advanced technology” that is actually harming our environment. Certain cellphones today carry dangerous chemicals that are not safe. Another disadvantage with cellphones today is the battery usage. People may not have the availability to an electrical outlet to charge their phones. Our group has come up with the idea to create a cheap, solar powered phone, that will only be available for communication purposes.

Discover:

 Although it was very hard to find information on solar powered phones, we did find lots of info about solar powered calculators. We figured we could somehow use the circuitry of the calculators in the phones. Also researching the different ways that phones have effected the environment and how our device will be different from those phones.

Dream:

A inexpensive, basic cell phone used solely for the purpose of basic communication

using old/recycled phone for environmental purposes

Because of the solar power ability will benefit people who may not have reliable source of electricity

Could be used in the military instead of more expensive devices
