reflection:
This project helped me understand the characters I chose more. For Steph I learnt more about her sarcastic and smart personality and more about her interests in science. And for brent I really enjoyed how I could represent his change throughout the photos he posted on social media. I also found that reading the important chapters twice helped me understand and get more details out of the book that I did not notice when I first read the book with the class. Creating two totally different accounts was very difficult it took a while to understand, but after some time I got used to using Instagram, I don’t use Instagram that much on my free time which is why I had some difficulty. Although I had some difficulty with things, I learnt so much more for the next time I do things using Instagram. it was sort of difficult picturing the characters with social media accounts because the story was based in the 90s before the internet began being a big thing. For both of the characters posts I used photos I used off of Pinterest that would best picture the characters. although I did use one photo that I took for brents one of brents posts.
The credit for these characters goes to: Paul Fleishman author of the whirligig and creator of the characters i used

Thank you for posting your flip book, showing your understanding of the piece of literature, “The Whirligig.” Here are my observations regarding your work:
– Well done transferring methods of presentation (PPT > PDF > Flip Book > Embedded blog post)
– Book is lacking in format, somewhat limited in DM messages and works cited section
– Has some of the components discussed that were to be included from the various social media accounts, but some posts could be further developed
Overall, I thought you did a good job on certain aspects of the project!
Thank you,
