This is how I feel about Banskys beautiful picture. I think it is an amazing representation of how racism works and how some people will turn away good, hard-working people just because of their ethnicity or religion. It is not right and things like these will slowly-slowly breakaway at the massive mountain of racism. What I see in this image is the clear divide between the small colorful bird compared to the big grey bird. I also noticed the contrast between the tan background and the black shaded birds, it is easy to see the birds and the wire. When I stare down at this image is see racism as well as a troubled mind. Those birds are troubled by the way they think, they believe that something is wrong with this person, but nothing is they have just been taught and grown up in the wrong environment and with the right help they can change for the better. The picture makes me fear most of all, sadness, sadness for the birds on the wrong side of the wire, the people who have, again, been taught the wrong way and all I want to do is to teach them the right way and let them out of this dark pit of racism. I believe this image is trying to convey a sense of sadness and guilt for our society, after all, we started this, and we must be the ones who finish it, and sometimes a little bit of tough love is a good thing. The combination of his amazing art skills and relatable imagery is the perfect match to make an amazing image of this caliber. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!
