Grammar reflection

Recently we have completed our PowerPoint for our grammar rules. Our grammar devices are Adverbs, Adjectives, Pronouns and Common vs. Proper nouns. Our first device is Adverbs. it is the helper for Adjectives and verbs. The adverbs add themselves to the sentence to make it easily digestible and easier to understand. An example of an adverb is as follows; Colt is quite tired. The “quite” was the adverb because it expresses how tired he really is. The next device of grammar is an Adjective, an Adjective is something explaining an attribute. Here is an example; “Devon was Hot”. This is an adjective because it tells the reader or listener what Devon was doing and/or feeling. Another literary device is something called Pronouns. Now it’s not like a person’s pronouns, it is a little bit different. Here is an example of pronouns, “Anyone can come and get this food”. The pronoun in this sentence is Anyone because it is broadly grouping people into a bubble. Anyone, They, Them. The final term I will explain will be common vs. proper nouns. Common nouns are broad term that refer to someone “this guy” or “why is she” The “guy” and “she” are just slightly broad terms for someone, it doesn’t have to be able someone though it could be about and object too! Whereas Proper nouns a lot more specific term referring to someone or something “what did you say, David” or “why is Jasmine doing this?” The two example are specific names (it can also be term for objects) for people to nail down who the person is talking about. Overall, doing this project really helped me finally understand these little grammatical devices that I never got, and I liked making that funny video with Shiven. So, I think this was a good assignment and should be done even more!
