This Edublog is a reflection of my time creating the Indigenous Exploration project. In this project, we had to research and then have a scripted conversation on the state of our certain area of the indigenous problem.
My experience doing this assignment was mixed. I liked recording with my friends but researching and writing the script was extremely frustrating, but I will touch on that in a moment. The recording was fun because, in all honesty, we spend the first 10 minutes fooling around. After around 10 minutes though we got down to business and it took us around 3 tries to get the script right.
My experience researching rather was a different story. Researching for this project was painful because no matter where I looked, google and school sites pretty much had nothing, and only after using a lot of statistics rather than articles and lots and lots of looking. I think the reason it was that hard to find anything is because of how under research and under-publicized the indigenous problems are. At first, we looked for articles on the sites the librarian showed us. after we really only got one good article we turned to stats because as I learned you can make a story out of stats.
I used critical thinking to do this project. For ex. when I was really at the end of my line and could not find any articles anywhere I pivoted and used stats to make sentences, instead of articles. The reason I changed is that there was really nothing else I could do, even finding stats was difficult let alone finding articles on the specific subject we were researching. So, I was forced to change.
Thank you for reading my Reflection
Thank you for posting your “Indigenous Exploration” audio project (podcast). As the assignment was completed for both English 9 and COL, I have the following feedback for you on the post:
– Not all elements of the assignment’s post were properly uploaded on all member’s blogs (audio)
– Reflection on blog is well-written
– Unclear audio and delivery at multiple points
– Podcast is completed
Overall, this assignment had some strong characteristics, while some areas could have been improved upon. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank you!

I have added my podcast into the Edublog post if you could please regrade it that would be amazing.
