ch 6 unit summary

One thing I learned from the unit, rational expressions, was how to solve quadratic equations that have fractions.

step 1: In order to solve the equation, each number must have the same denominator. Then you may cross out the denominator

step 2: now you may add 4 to each side which eliminates -4 and equals 10 on the other side

 

step 3: divide 2 by each side which isolates x. Now you have your final product

step 4: verify to make sure you have the correct answer
