My Digital Footprint. 
My digital footprint is pretty minor if you look at it. For example if you search up my name all that will come up that has a direct correlation to me is my great grandmother’s obituary. Anything else that comes up are just people with the same last name as me( most of them have no relation to me as farahbakhsh is a fairly common name among people from iran or with persian heritage.)
How might your digital footprint affect your future opportunities? Give at least 2 examples.
As you may have noticed from earlier to be completely honest I personally don’t have much of a digital footprint.that being said having nothing come up when you search up my name still has pros and cons.here are some impacts of having almost nothing come up when you search my name.
1. Anyone could look at that and see that nothing comes up and take that as proof that i don’t really engage in the internet now taking just that information the assumptions that people could make can be good or bad such as thinking that i don’t engage in or start drama and get along with most people
2. on the other hand people might think that because almost nothing comes up under my name that means that i don’t participate in the internet and take that as a sign of me not being very keen on. participating in anything which is a bold assumption and if you don’t like participating in a lot of things it can be a bad quality

There are many things you can do to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe such as.
1. Regulating what you do and do not make public is super important. believe it or not there are some things that your instagram followers don’t want to see
2. Make sure to always be kind and respectful to everyone in person or online because the last thing you want is a bad reputation that will stay with you for a while and possibly damage the way people see you
3. If your going to post anything about other people online ask them for their consent before posting anything. this could be potentially hurtful to other people and potentially bad for your reputation and relationships
How could social media be used in a positive manner?
There are many ways to use social media in a positive manner. for example you could use it to entertain people there are a lot of content creators that really just want to make people happy. Another way you can use social media positively is by educating people there is lots of educational content on social media you just have to look for it.
In Conclusion
I think that making sure that you have a good digital footprint is a very important part of maintaining your overall public image and should be taken into account whenever you are about to post anything on the internet. Internet safety is a very important part of being a functioning member of society these days and I believe that everyone should know what is safe and unsafe on the internet.
