After reading the introductory chapters of “The Cage” I realized that living in the ghetto is very difficult because you don’t have access to that much food and if you get sick you’re either going to die or get taken by the Germans and probably get killed. The Germans can hurt you or your family at any time so you’re constantly scared. The Germans can make up any reason to take you with them even if it’s not true and there is nothing you can do about it. Anybody who is not Jewish or German will turn on you because they don’t want to be killed by the Nazis. Doctors can’t help because they don’t have access to medicine or anything that can help you.
