  4. Part 1:
    1. This assignment requires you to become a social and/or political activist and fight the prevailing marketing powerhouses who are responsible for creating consumer culture.  Your task is as follows:
      • Choose a major corporation, social issue, or political focus that you believe needs attention drawn to it.
      • Create a still spoof advertisement (generally adbusters take logos, symbols, or slogans and simply change them in minor but significant ways to communicate their intended message).
  5. Part 2:
    1. Take an existing ad for a major corporation that you think is not being done in an ethical manner
    2. Recreate the ad so that it still promotes the product to the intended target market, but does so in an ethical manner
  6. Due at the end of class on Friday December 15
