  4. Exploration of the Indian Act
    1. Short lesson and video on the act
    2. Questions to answer
  5. Writing activity
    1. What are some parts of the Indian Act that you can see still having an impact on people today?
    2. Put yourself in the position of a First Nations person at the time that the Indian Act was first enacted and write a letter to your future grandchildren about how the Act is impacting your life.
    3. Imagine that you are a First Nations child and have been sent to a residential school.  Compare your current school experience to what you feel the experience would have been like for a student in a residential school.
