ICT 11 – October 5, 2015

Shape of the day:

1. Attendance
2. For ICT Survey Students –
   1. Ensure first scratch game is turned in.
   2. For second game we will be creating mock side scrolling games (similar to the classic helicopter game).
   3. Begin to plan out what you want your game to be like and try to use your skills from the first scratch game to create the basic movement for your main character.
   4. We will go over using the glide and random features for creating the side scrolling effect
3. For Programming 11 students –
   1. We will start with Java today.  You will be researching some Java basics before progressing into working with the beginner Java tutorials on Codecademy.
   2. Complete the Java Basics assignment from the assignments page.  Once done move into codecademy.
   3. You will need to sign up for codecademy before starting.
