Indigenous Exploration – Stereotyping and Discrimination

Refection:

Q.

How does your artifact (audio recording) tie in with what you have learned before? How has your thinking changed? What made it change?

A. The Podcast tied in with what I learned by giving me more information on the topics we researched. It also made me think more about what I say and what people can take offence by.  It made me change my thinking because I only thought there were a few stereotypes. However, through research, I discovered more. With this project, I learned a lot about the First nation peoples of Canada and what they have been through.

Here is Our Podcast.

  1. Thank you for posting your “Indigenous Exploration” audio project (podcast). As the assignment was completed for both English 9 and COL, I have the following feedback for you on the post:

    – All elements of the assignment’s post were properly uploaded by group members
    – Reflection on blog somewhat explains process taken to complete the assignment, no works cited or where you found information
    – Fairly clear audio quality and delivery, sometimes background sounds
    – Some good information and research was completed
    – When discussing this topic, certain members should not be laughing or chuckling, serious topic
    – Podcast is fairly well done

Overall, this assignment had some good characteristics. If you have any questions, please let me know.

    Thank you!
