Who did I interview?
I interviewed Joey Ali. He is the co-owner of ProFormance Goalie School and Pro Ali Goalie Training. Joey is also a goalie coach for team Canada Blind Hockey. He has played at both junior B and A levels. As well as playing at the NCAA. He also worked alongside NHL coaches with AHL and NHL goalies..
” He is a goalie consultant to; Langley Rivermen (eighth season in the BCHL, 2014 BCHL Champion), NCAA institutions, Simon Fraser University, Fraser Valley Rush BCEHL, Langley Trappers PJHL, CBHA (blind hockey) Team Canada & Lakeland Super Camps.” Quoted from: https://progoal.com/owners/
Why did I choose to interview Joey?
I chose to interview Joey because I want to play hockey professionally or coach goalies professionally. I also interviewed him to gain information to improve my hockey skills.
What did I learn from the interview?
I learned how to be prepared, and how to research my subject before I interviewed them, how to adapt to last-minute changes. I expected him to answer my questions through text. However, he was very busy when interviewed him so I had to improvise and make a quick phone call to him.
How does this connect with my passion?
Like I said earlier I am a goaltender who trains at ProFormance Goalie School and Pro Ali Goalie Training. It connects with me because I want to be like him I have the sense of training goalies to a professional level. As well, I would like to play at the level he played at.
