Currents In The Kitchen

Hypothesis: I think lemon will produce the most electricity because it is the most acidic. Image result for Lemon head

During the experiment we found that lemon and acidic fruits and vegetables produced the most voltage. We found the voltage my using a zinc nail and a copper rod to extract electricity from the fruit and then hooked it up to a voltage measure. The class found that if you connect wires and lots of the foods than you can make enough energy to light an LED. If your ball doesn’t glow you can test if you have electrons flowing my putting it on the volts meter to see if there are any electrons. If there are electrons moving and you bulb doeskin light it probably means that you bulb is broken.

  1. Thanks for sharing how you measured voltages from fruit. Be sure to answer the questions given and share the voltages you found. What could you do to increase the current even more?
