February Lab Reflection

  1. Why did you choose to reflect on this lab?
  2. Did you enjoy the lab? Why or why not?
  3. Did your product turn out the way you had hoped? If yes, what helped? If no, why did it not?
  4. Did you group work well together during the lab? Why or why not? (i.e. were there any issues that came up/how did you solve them?)
  5. If you were to do this lab again, what might you do differently? Why?

Granola (parfait/bars)

I chose this lab to reflect on because it was one of my favorites. I enjoyed making these granolas because it is something I haven’t made before. Our product turned out very well, our group was worried because we did not want to burn the granola which was easy to do even if you left the granola in the oven for one more minute. With our hardworking and cooperating group, we managed to get everything done efficiently. As a group, we worked very well together. We always made sure everyone has a job and is helping out. If we did this lab again there wouldn’t be much I would like to do differently. Maybe trying to stay a bit more organized and collecting the ingredients more quickly. Another thing I enjoyed was that the first day we used our granola to make the parfaits and the other day we froze them and made them into bars.

Frozen

scene: meeting Olaf

Press the green flag to watch!

This scene is when Anna, Kristoff and Sven meet Olaf and go find Elsa.

What I learned: I learned how to broadcast words that characters say on the screen. Also more about switching backdrops and adding music.

What was challenging: Something that was challegnging was the timing of the whole scene. It was hard to time the characters lines to speak at different times. In the end I got the hang of it.

I choose this scene because it was the one I rememebered best and one of my favourites from the movie.

Catman

My game: Catman

Describe the game: Similar to Pacman. The goal is to collect all 20 fish to win. If you are hit my one of the dogs, you are dead.

Challenges I had: A few challenges I had was switching backdrops and hiding the sprites. I looked up different games on scratch to help me with further understanding the coding.

What I learned: This is my first time coding and using scratch. I learned lots about coding and how to use scratch in many different ways.
