“Animal Farm” social media
For this project, I chose to base it off Napoleon, the pig leader of animal farm. I created an Instagram account for Napoleon as my choice in method of social media. The book that this assignment was about is called Animal Farm. The author of this George Orwell, and he wrote this book around the idea on the Russian revolution. This story is about a Farm filled with many animals that all started off living under the rule of a man named Mr. Jones. He did not treat the animals fairly and did not provide them with proper living conditions. After the animals began to realize how they didn’t want to be treated like this anymore and wanted to make changes. They rebelled against Mr. jones and came out on top. After the rebellion a pig named Napoleon became the new leader after some big disputes with another pig. As time went by with Napoleon as their new leader the farm went in full circle and the pigs leading were now acting and making decisions just like their past leader Mr. Jones. In this book we have some examples of direct and indirect characterization. An example of direct characterization would be if the narrator gave a description on a character. Which gave us information to characterize the character. Indirect characterization could be taking information you know on the character and making an informed assumption on something about the character. An example of a direct characterization about Napoleon from the Novel is “large rather fierce-looking berk shire boar but with a reputation of getting his own way”. An example of indirect characterization could be “it was a pig walking on his hind legs”. From this quote we can infer that Napoleon has now adapted and has new abilities. Overall I learned a lot of new things during the process of this project and am happy with my choice of character.
