Science app review

  1. My problem is that when I’m at home I need to search up a periodic table and the ones online are always fuzzy or too small when I zoom in.
  2. So I need an app that can help me find what I need fast and easy. And also to give me proper information Also an app that has all of the nessisary uses of a periodic table that helps me zoom into to the atom and gives me all the needed information, and maybe some extra pointers.
  3. The app that I chose is K12 Periodic Table of Element
  4. /5. I went through my app and it looks like a pretty self explanatory app with good features but I wish it could do a bit more. It tells me which group it belongs to, ex. Alkali metals, alkaline earth metals etc. It also gives me the group and period numbers.it also tells me whether the atom is a solid, gas, liquid or not found in nature. And what the boiling and melting points are. And lastly it shows me what the Lewis structure looks like and how many electrons are in the outer most orbital. But it doesn’t show me what the ionic charge is.

Evaluation:

  1. This app helps build skills and learn content because it tells you exactly how to read a periodic table and it helps you understand how it’s laid out and it helps learn content by labelling everything and making it so you can memorize things easily.
  2. This app is super self explanatory and it also gives directions right when you open the app and it has a help button in the right corner which is great if you need some help.
  3. This app overall is very useful. The best thing about the app is that it doesn’t just give you extra information about the periodic table but it also gives you lots of extra information on the elements. Ex. It gives you the radius and the ionic radius. Which I think is super cool.
