In this COL/English Project, we were assigned to write an original short story focusing on one of the major themes that was covered in class during a short story unit. Next, we had to create a movie poster for our short story using a Generative AI website called Night Cafe to select the main image that would be used for the poster.

My prompt was: “a realistic looking 20 year old white man with black hair, brown eyes and broad shoulders wearing a long sleeved dark blue shirt and casual black pants standing beside a 20 year old white woman with brunette hair and green eyes with medium length hair wearing a fitted white t shirt and wearing casual light blue jeans. their surroundings is a futuristic city and has a hovering circular shaped vehicle in the background as well as a robot.”

Thank you for submitting your Open AI Film Poster assignment on your Edublog for both English 9 and COL. The following are my observations regarding the assignment:
– Short story is well written including characters, setting, point of view, conflict, etc
– Image is included in the post taken from OpenAI website
– Image (primary) and layered images fit the narrative based on effective prompts put into website
– Film Poster includes one of the Open AI images and looks like a professional film poster
– Not animated and the text is a bit difficult to read on parts of the poster due to the contrast or lack of from background
– Reflection answers all questions and touches upon a core competency topic with details
