Hey there! In this article, I will be going over how your digital footprint can affect your high school experience, how your phone has impacts on your learning, and crucial elements of school culture.
Digital Footprint
How might your digital footprint impact your high school experience?
A: Your digital footprint can and usually does impact your high school experience. It can impact your college and job applications as several colleges and employers these days check your online presence for the application procedure. It can also affect your reputation and relationships with others, anybody and mainly people you know can absolutely see what you publicly share online and that can affect your reputation and your relationships with pals and gals either negatively, or positively. Always think twice before you share something online! With a positive digital footprint, it can also give learning opportunities and help you connect with people that think alike and help you grow as a person. However, a negative digital footprint does quite the opposite. Me myself, I believe my digital footprint will impact my high school experience for the good based on how I use technology. I often use technology to share reviews and videos. By doing so, I creatively present my hobbies, thoughts, and feelings and gain a higher digital reputation which could also help me gain a following and find people with similar thoughts and interests within my high school community and help me boost my social confidence.
Self Regulation
How can your phone have a positive and negative impact on your learning?
A: Phones can certainly have either a negative or positive impact on your learning. In my opinion, they are usually more on the negative side of impact. On the positive side, phones can be very useful in a learning environment as they can do so much, such as calculating, taking photos and video taping, organization, communicating, managing, and much more. However, it can also and mostly does impact negatively as well. Phones can be very distracting and slow down the learning process by a lot. It is not very easy to stay focused when you have for example, social media, gaming, and notifications are available to you in much more eye catching and distracting forms.
School Culture
What elements of school culture are necessary for you to be successful both academically and socially?
A: Here are some components to consider.
-A supportive and inclusive environment. When you feel accepted, it helps promote learning and socializing and it also creates positive relationships with other pals and gals and teachers.
-Extracurriculars. Getting involved in clubs, sports and such things will help you develop more skills, tour your passions and meet new people with similar interests and build social skills.
-Structured Communication. Communicating Efficiently between other students and teachers will help you so much in the long run. You understand others greater, you can receive assistance when needed, clarify, and receive information better.
