This week in math, we learned how to add and subtract rational expressions. We can only add or subtract if each fraction has a common denominator. When we add or subtract, we only add or subtract the numerators and the common denominator remains the same on the bottom. Once the final answer is in factored form, we can state the restrictions which are the numbers for the variable which would result in the denominator being 0.
