Effects of Confederation

1. Uncle Sam kicked out- I see this as showing canada kicking out usa. It shows that britan is happy and that they don’t need usa with them.

The situation- this shows how any colony or province can come to Canada and that it’s nice and very welcoming, but usa is very lame and boring and doesn’t have much wealth.

2. New brunswick- they didn’t like the confederation due to them wanting to be independent. This caused fights inside of new brunswick on canada day, which is supposed to be a day of joy.

Nova Scotia-

Ontario- they were upset that this was not voted on because they wanted a say in the confederation of canada.

Quebec- the liberals didn’t like it because theh wanted independence. The parti bleu liked it because they thought it would keep the francophone safe

3. Based on the readings it was not a good idea because not many people liked the idea and it made the provinces have fights inside instead of being one. I think that it was good later but not right away since people wanted independance.
