Underground railroad components

1. If they were travelling north, and they saw a slave trader, they would head south so it would look like they were coming from a job and going back to their master.

2. They sent themselves in boxes to the free state to escape their masters.

3. They would cover themselves in white powder to look like what people so they wouldn’t get caught.

4. They would also bandage themselves up so the slave traders couldn’t tell they were black.

5. They would pretend to be a slave and a master by disguising just one of the black people as white.
