• We can reduce CO2 emissions by limiting vehicles in the population, pressuring corporations to increase environmental care, and incite environmental cleanliness within the populace

• Climate change affects developing countries and those in poverty the worst, as they are the least likely to be able to recover from natural disasters as they have little to no outside assistance and are struggling to satisfy basic needs. Those who live in developed countries have far better chances of recovering due to better infrastructure, better emergency services, and most likely have a stable income that can supplement their needs while they recover.

To the First Nations and Indigenous of Canada. I, on behalf of all foreign peoples who reside unjustly in your sacred lands, sincerely apologize for the atrocities committed towards your ancestors. By now, I presume that the memories of residential schools, Indian hospitals, the White Paper proposal, and many other unrecorded unjust acts are still fresh in the minds of today’s First Nations. Despite efforts to compensate for these acts, the Indigenous of Canada are still in a difficult situation. No amount of money or the sincerest apology will make up for the past, and for the culture we so earnestly tried to destroy. I am in no position to attempt to apologize, much less expect forgiveness. So in place, I implore and beseech that the First Nations of Canada merely understand and accept our intention to reconcile for our mistakes. Should it take ten, fifty, a hundred, or even a thousand years, I hope that we will be able to do something good for the First Nations of Canada. I do not know how, but should I cease to exist and return to my Creator by then, I hope my descendants shall follow suit, and make a brighter future for the Indigenous people of Canada.
