As the sun comes up

The skater drops down the slope

Going up the ramp

High as a kite

Feeling like a champ

BAM! Under his feet, the board didn’t want to stay

Composition – Cats in the Cradle

The song ‘’Cats in the Cradle’’ shows the innocence of a child towards his parents and how no matter what the parent does the child will always look up to them. The son says he wants to be just like his dad who is absent, and at the end he becomes exactly what the dad was. He doesn’t have time for his dad just like his dad didn’t have time for him. It shows that if you want your kids to be there for you when you are older you need to teach them the importance of family.
