My Personal thoughts on the Indonesian Earthquake

Prompt #2

Hi Aunt and Uncle,

I just heard about the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck Palu in late september. I hope you both survived and have minimal injuries. I also hope that your home was completely destroyed when the liquefaction happened and that you can go back and get your family photos or a extra pair of clothing. I heard about the fabulous work the search and rescue crews are doing to find others who are buried under the rubble, and the free tetanus shots that are being giving out which I hope you got.  

I heard that there was troubles getting relief aid into Palu because of its geographical location and I want you two to know that everyone back here in Canada has donated to the relief funds and I hope they get there soon. We donated some clothes and food in case you’re unable to get some on a regular basis. We heard about the facts that you currently don’t have power or running water and hope that you have found a safe place to sleep and make your camp.  We also sent you a couple packages of bottled water so that you can stay hydrated and wash yourself to ward off infections.

We all send our best wishes and hopes that you will get through this, we want you to know that you are in our thoughts. Hearing the heroic stories from rescue crews and others working to help those in trouble gives us hope that soon things will get better.
