This week in Pre Calculus 11 about Modelling with Quadratic equations.
x-y=6
We need to find what x and y are. The 1st number is x, the second number is x+6
now we have this equation
(x)(x+6)=y
now we need to find the zeros of (x)(x+6)=y which are o and -6. Now we find the average of the two by adding 0=6 and halfing it. We get -3. Now we know x. So we plug it into the equation
(-3)(-3+6)=y
(-3)(3)=y
9=y
so now we have x=-3 and y=9
so 9-3=6
