This week in precaculus 11 we learned how to solve Quadratic equations using factoring and the zero product law.
The zero product law is when axb=0, a=0 or b=0. So basically x can be anything that makes the equation equal to zero.
For example,
Now we root -25, because it is negative we get +5 and -5. The equation will now look like this,
(x+5)(x-5)
x= (-9), 9
Basically, all we are doing is finding a way to make X cancel out all the numbers on its side of the equation.
