Expanding universe

In this lab we lab we used a balloon and a sharpie to show the expansion of the universe. The balloon represents the ever expanding the universe and with the sharpie we wrote a “M” for the Milky Way Galaxy, and the letters A B C D E as other galaxies. As we blew into the balloon and the space between the galaxies and the Milky Way increased all of the Galaxies increased less than 3 cm from their starting location except for E which moved 6 cm. I already knew about the expansion of the universe but this activity help in visualizing the concept. I’m not curious about anything else in this concept.
