I chose this quote because I am of fan of Douglas Adams and his writing style. This particular quote I’ve liked the most since I first read Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy in Grade 7.

Congress votes to create a U.S. army.

I choose these two because I’m part british and knowing that a King came into power on my birthday is interesting to me and the second one is just there because I was told I needed two things that happened on my birthday and this one seemed mildly interesting.
