Your digital footprint can affect your life in many different ways, some examples of this are job opportunities and being approved to join a college or university. If you apply for a job or want to join a university they will look you up to see what they can find out about you, If you post some inappropriate pictures or comments they may not hire you.

Describe at least three strategies that you can use to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe.

1. Always think before you post a comment or picture and how this could affect you or someone looking at it.

2. Be careful who you follow on social media for your safety.

3. Lastly always reread what you post and make sure it is appropriate.

What information did you learn that you would pass on to other students? How would you go about telling them?

I learned that you should always be careful on social media and what you post as this can affect yourself and others. I would tell them face to face to be careful as this can really affect you whether it’s a job or a plying to a university.
