Element Sway/Information Fluency

Part 2:

1.What questions did you need to research in order to create your sway?

Some questions I asked are broad questions such as: “How was polonium discovered”, “Fact’s about polonium” but I took these broad questions and was able to break them down into simpler more detailed questions such as “when was and who discovered polonium.”

2. What new or familiar digital tools did you try to use as you worked through this project?

New digital tools I tried using for this projects include:

– Gale Engage for learning

– Pexels.com

– Google

– Creative commons search

3. What was the process you used to investigate the topic and how did you verify and cite the information you found?

I kept track on my sources I used to gather my information about Polonium. I made sure to only use neccessary information and double made sure I did not copy and paste the work. I gathered images from share-friendly sources and made sure to cite my sources at the end of my sway presentation.

4. How did the process of completing this challenge go? What could you have done better?

I think through this project, I have learned many things such as the 5 A’s and the importance of citing my sources. I think I could have put more pictures to make it more visual and more information on Polonium. But there were limits on how much information I was able to research but overall I am very proud of my sway project on polonium.

  1. Very good information fluency post. I really like how you have found some great sub-questions to lead you to get a well-rounded perspective on your topic. You have done a great job sharing the digital tools you used and citing your sources. Good debrief on your product and process as well!
