This week I learned about unit conversion [how to convert units (metric and imperial measurements)].
Mr. Burton had a term to remember the metric prefixes (k, h, da, u, d, c, m)
Giga – 10^9
Mega -10^6
kilo -10^3
hecto -10^2
deca – 10
unit -1
deci -10^-1
cente -10^-2
mili -10^-3
u micro -10^-6
nano -10^-9

In the imperial measurement, when the unit gets bigger you DIVIDE and when the length gets smaller you MULTIPLY.
6 miles = ______ inches in order to find the inches in used what I know about imperial measurement.
for example:
then I turned 6 miles into a fraction. If the miles in on the top of the fraction I need use a fraction that has the same unit on the opposite side, then cancel both of them. I will keep on doing the exact same thing until I get the same unit that I’m looking for. And once that I have the unit I multiply both top and the bottom to get the answer.
6 miles = 380160 inches
