EAL Skills Plays Quidditch!
Since we are reading through Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, we decided to practice our reading comprehension by reading the rules of Quidditch in order to see if we could follow how to play! Thanks to the PE Department for letting borrow hoops and balls to be our quaffle, golden snitch, and scoring hoops. Everyone did a great job!

Your Substance Package and what is likely now your vast collection of information in your charts will be due at the end of class. We will review as a group, and if there is time, there may even be an allotment of the block given to independent quiet study.
IMPORTANT: On Friday, 3 June 2016 you will have your unit test on Drugs and Substance Abuse. It will take the entire block. Please bring any questions you have about the test during class; I will set aside five minutes at the beginning of each block for questions.

OH MY GOODNESS IT IS ALREADY JUNE.
Today we will be looking in-depth at the dangers of Methamphetamine.
After an introduction, and filling in your last chart, we will listen to a recording of the poem “I Am Meth.” The rest of class will be dedicated to an in-depth reflection, which will be due by the end of class (11:55am).
