Week 9 in Math 10

This week in math we continued unit #5 Polynomials. Most of the unit as of yet has been review and finding strategies to simplify questions more efficiently. One of the tricks is if you have a question like (x+2)(x+3) where the coefficient to x is one on both binomials you just add the numbers to get 5x and multiply them to get 6x. The whole answer would be (x+2)(x+3)  =  x^2+5x+6. On Friday we learned how to factor polynomials which is basically the opposite of what we had been doing. Using the same question before we would take the answer to our last question and expand it.

x^2+5x+6

We need to find what goes two numbers multiply into 6 and also add to five, that would be 2 and 3 so you write it as (x+2)(x+3).
