Electric House Solution Fluency Post

Define:

A problem that we had in our electric house that technology could have help with was, that we found that our battery was loose, and it was hard to connect the wires to it as you can see by the photo that was inserted on the top left. So, we decided to 3D print a battery holder which would make it a lot easier to connect the wires to the battery rather than us having to lay down the battery down on the table or just having to hold the battery and the wires all at once. Thats when we decided that we were going to make a battery holder. This was a simple and helpful way for us to fix the problem in our Electric House.

 

Dream:

Possible solutions to help with the problems, Me and my partner wanted to make something that was simple and didn’t take hours to make and that would be helpful to the project. So, we decided to make a battery holder that was really simple and didn’t look complicated so as you can see by the picture that I have inserted on the top left. But before we got to print anything we had to measure the length and width of the battery so that it wouldn’t be too small or too big it did take a bit to make sure that everything would fit perfectly on the battery but once we got everything perfect, we printed it out them chose a perfect spot for it which was on bottom right corner. This helped a lot a made the project and the whole wiring part of the project a lot easier for me and my partner to work with.

Deliver:

A solution to the problem. Print your design. Document the process.  The problem that we were having was that it was difficult to hold the wires and the battery all together, so we decided to think of something that we could 3D print that would help with the problem that we were having. So, we decided to 3D print a battery holder so that we would not have to hold the battery. So that was the solution to our problem that we were dealing with at the time and now we fixed the problem and it’s a lot easier to connect the wires to the battery because we don’t need to hold the battery and the wires all at the same exact time.

 

Debrief:

The quality of the process you went through. While we were measuring the length and the width of the battery so that the battery would fit in the holder and wouldn’t be sliding around. We had many trials and errors I think that we had to re-do our 3D print like 4-5 but after we realized what we were messing up then we got the hang of it and then it finally fit the battery and it’s still a little lose but it is not as bad as what it used to be, but we learned from our mistakes. And then after it was done being 3D printed then we attached to the house but the battery in the holder that we made and then we connected, the wires as you can see in the photo that I have inserted in the photo on the top left.
