The Diwali Music Festival is short for “Deepavali” , which means row of lamps in English. It is celebrate between October and early November at nights because that’s where lights shine the best. In Hindu culture it is said that at this time the festival is happening “Lord Rama” , a king, returned to his hometown after 14 years from being released from jail. The people lit lamps in everywhere to welcome back the Lord, as well as to celebrate his win over the “demon king”. At this festival they usually do Henna painting, decorating traditional diyas, dancing to music and eating Indian food. This picture shows that everyone is still celebrating the Diwali festival despite where they are.

It is about a synagogue (where Jewish people meet to discuss religion) in Ottawa that was vandalized by racist white people. They drew bright red swastikas, racist slurs, and the message that says “save the white race”. This discourages them  to do any more meetups and discuss Jewish religions or instructions. They might receive something even more worse than graffiti’s. Based on all these examples I think that Canada is a multicultural country, there maybe some people who are against this but it is a very little amount. There are mostly people who are accepting of those from around the world
